The Lovely White Egret Flower. This is actually a type of bog orchid. I'm not a huge fan of orchids - they remind me of high maintenance snooty women for some reason, but these are really interesting.

I'm procrasinating going to bed and found myself on Ravelry, then on your blog, then I started in January of 2008 on your archives, waiting for Nathan to stop playing Geometry Wars. ANYWAY, I had o tell you that I feel the SAME way about orchids. I know, it's such a surprise that we have something in common... I think they're pretty, but in a manufactured sort of way. You had the perfect metaphor. Okay, feel creepy now for reading in your archives, so I'm going to go do that some more.
